Cutthroat Yarn will open in March; SwimKids to open this summer
Leesburg, Va. – Cutthroat Yarn and SwimKids have signed leases for retail space at Village at Leesburg in Leesburg, Va.
Cutthroat Yarn is scheduled to open in March, and SwimKids will open this summer, joining the new Sweet & Sassy, a children’s-focused salon and spa, and Bean Bar, an upscale European style cafe.
“Leasing activity at Village at Leesburg is really strong,” said Susan Bourgeois, Rappaport’s Director of Leasing and Brokerage. “Our team has already finalized three leases in January. Thanks to a thriving arts community, we’ve been able to attract Cutthroat Yarn, which will join Crafty Stitches, The Art Station and The Bead Artist. Swim Kids joins a host of kid-friendly businesses such as Sweet and Sassy Salon, Elite Martial Arts and King Pinz.”
Cutthroat Yarn is a full-service boutique yarn store shop that sells a variety of yarn and needle art supplies, including custom yarn spun by the owner. Cutthroat will offer needle art classes for children and adults of all ages, in knitting and crochet techniques and yarn spinning. They have leased 1,529 square feet of space next to the Loudoun Library Foundation. Melissa Welch of KLNB Retail represented the landlord. Cutthroat Yarn represented itself in the transaction.
SwimKids is a swim school that offers private and groups classes for children of all ages and abilities. The school also offers older students a chance to swim on the SwimKids Stealth sSwim tTeam, a year-round competitive USA Swimming team. SwimKids leased 4,050 square feet of space next to Finnegan’s Irish Pub. Russ Rowzie of Trimark Corporation represented SwimKids. Melissa Welch and Dallon Cheney of KLNB Retail represented the landlord.
Village at Leesburg is located along Route 7 at the Crosstrail Boulevard/River Creek Parkway exit in Leesburg, Va. It includes a roster of 45 retailers, including Cobb Village 12 Cinemas, Wegmans Food Markets, LA Fitness, King Pinz, Ulta and Orvis.
